Prevent, Protect, Respond  is the IES mission

“Our co-op staff previously served approximately 10 major petrochemical and chemical firms in the Baton Rouge area with training, inspection, rescue standby and emergency response services,” said President Gracia Rosslow. “With the significant growth of our pipeline and terminal services group in the area and our overall national growth, it made sense to centralize people and equipment for greater efficiency as part of this expansion.”

Along with offices for executive and regional personnel, the facility has a training and instruction room complete with table-top capabilities. The equipment yard serves as a staging area for IES’s Gulf of Mexico emergency response equipment and supplies. “Whether we are responding to a pipeline incident, tank fire or providing regular services for our industrial customers, our team and equipment have to be ready to go at all times,” said IES Vice-President Alan Hunsberger. “This is a big step for us and for our customers.”

The company also opened a regional office in Medford, Oregon, which will coordinate IES activities from California to Washington State and throughout the West. “IES has made a commitment to provide the same level of excellence and responsive services to its customers’ West Coast facilities that it has in the Gulf of Mexico region,” commented IES West Coast Vice-President Tom Henning. “It’s exciting what we are doing in terms of expanding our scope of capabilities.”

IES is a leading provider of in-plant safety staffing, emergency preparedness planning and emergency response, plant turnaround safety support services, safety training, and pipeline safety services.
