Co-op Fire Stations

Cooperative Fire Station = Shared Services

IES’ Co-operative Fire Station Program provides shared emergency preparedness and response functionality in areas with a concentration of several industrial facilities that can benefit by having access to highly trained personnel in a cost effective manner. IES can work with the participating plants to design an optimal solution and tailor the resources included, which are then managed by IES with the costs being shared among the plants.

The result is a reliable, predictable and effective emergency response, with excellent response times and effective incident control. In addition, customers frequently find that of even greater benefit on a regular basis is the access to IES’ expertise and personnel to provide training, inspection and rescue standby services to participating plants in an accessible and cost-effective manner.

IES currently operates a 10+ member co-operative fire station in the Baton Rouge area for leading petroleum refiners, chemical companies and municipalities serving 15+ facilities.
