IES Marine Firefighting & Salvage Orientation, Sponsored by Coast Guard

On September 14 and 15, 2015 the first course delivery of Marine Firefighting and Salvage Orientation was presented in Boston, MA.  This course was a collaboration between Industrial Emergency Services (IES) and Ardent Americas. It was sponsored by the United Sates Coast Guard Sector Boston. Course attendees consisted of representatives of local fire departments, the United States Coast Guard, local Harbormasters, police departments, Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, and other first responders. Public / Private Sector Mutual Aid Agreement Serves Major Petroleum Facility

Located outside Baton Rouge, LA a large pipeline terminal facility that stewards over 20% of the eastern U.S. fuel supply contacted IES for assistance with safety pre planning, training and response. Like other facilities, with dozens of storage tanks, underground pipelines and pump stations, Site Managers were concerned about the various emergency scenarios that could impact the facility and interrupt operations. With numerous pipelines crossing the United States, consideration for the management of fire-related emergencies is often overlooked at unmanned remote sites. In the past, these fires were often allowed to burn themselves out once the product had been secured. IES Releases Free Foam Proportioning App for Industrial Firefighters Worldwide

Baton Rouge, Louisiana –  March 11, 2013  – Industrial Emergency Services, LLC (“IES”) (www.iesllc.com) announced this week that it has released the IES Foam/Friction Loss Calculator smartphone application for iPhone. The app provides both a Tank Fire Fighting Foam Calculator and a Friction Loss Calculator that can be used by fire fighters globally.
